In Wohnzimmer linke Wand (2019), Hildebrandt assembles inkjet print imagery with cassette tape boxes, forming a structure reminiscent of an abstract grid in which the faint outlines of a domestic interior subtly surface. The title, meaning “living room left wall,” points to a specific memory of home while also suggesting the layering of time: each cassette box holds fragments of sound and story, and together they create a physical manifestation of memory.
Within Hildebrandt’s artistic language, music is not only a vessel for emotion but also a temporal axis of remembrance. Through the ordered and repetitive visual rhythm of this work, he constructs a poetic space shaped by sound, intimacy, and nostalgia.
